Homosalate. Sunsafe® HMS by Uniproma Chemical is a safe and effective UV-B filter. It is suitable for water-resistant sun care and skin care formulations. It serves as an effective solvent for powdered and oil-soluble UV filters, such as Sunsafe® MBC (4-Methylbenzylidene Camphor), Sunsafe® BP3 (2-Hydroxy-4-Methoxy Benzophenone), and Sunsafe® ABZ (Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane).
- It is an effective UVB absorber with UV absorbance (E 1%/1cm) of min. 170 at 305 nm.
- It is biodegradable, does not bioaccumulate and has no known aquatic toxicity.
- It provides UV protection for sunscreen sprays, sticks and creams.
- Sunsafe® HMS has a shelf life of 24 months.
