Sulisobenzone. Sunsafe® BP4 by Uniproma Chemical acts as a UV filter. This water soluble product offers broad spectrum protection. It is not compatible with magnesium salts, particularly in w/o emulsions. A combination of an oil soluble UV filter and a water soluble UV filter gives the highest sun protection. Sunsafe® BP4 is approved for skin protection and widely used in sun preparations with sulfonic acid group neutralized, eg with Triethanolamine, sodium hydroxide etc.
