Carbomer. Acts as a thickening, suspending and stabilizing agent. It is a cross-linked polyacrylic acid with outstanding stability and excellent clarity at low dosage. It is temperature stable over time and stable during aging. It is microbial resistant and exhibits versatility-although primarily used in aqueous systems with neutralization. It can also be used in solvent systems, with or without neutralization. Provides smooth and luxurious feeling. Used in clear hydroalcoholic sanitizing gel; topical lotions, creams and gels.
