Micapoly® UV Crystal Zn 40

Mica (&) Zinc Oxide (&) Cyclomethicone (&) Dimethicone (&) Isododecane (&) Ethylene/VA Copolymer. Acts as a UV-filter. It is a composite material based on muscovite mica and physical UV-filters. It contains a mica matrix and a double layer of nano-fine zinc oxide sealed on the mica surfaces with a polymer. The platelet shape provides skin adherence and long lasting UV-protection. Provides low SPF with high UVA-protection. It is photostable, offers matte finish and is easy to formulate. It does not generate UV-light induced formation of free radicals within the formulation. Used in powdery types of sunscreens, pressed and loose powders & foundations.
