Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate (24-26%) (and) Polymethyl Methacrylate (74-76%). Tagravit™ C1 by Tagra biotechnologies acts as a lightening / whitening agent, as a sunscreen agent and as an antioxidant. Its microcapsules contain 25% pure ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate (VCIP), enable optimal isolation of the vitamin C ester, with unique release on demand™ (RND™) technology which, ensures vitamin C ester delivery. Tagravit™ C1 microcapsules shell is made of a single layer polymer which ensures protection from light, temperature, pH and other oxidizing agents in cosmetic formulations. Ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate is an improved form of vitamin C ester. It exhibits excellent percutaneous absorption and effectively converts into free vitamin C in the skin to perform various physiological functions. Ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate is an excellent whitening ingredient due to its ability to inhibit intracellular tyrosine and melanogenesis. VCIP carry a UV protection capacity by reducing UVA and UVB induced DNA damage. Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant and anti-aging by preventing lipid peroxidation and collagen synthesis, respectively. It also exhibits property such as moisturizing, nourishing, anti-redness/ anti-couperose, repairing and regenerating/ revitalizing. Tagravit™ C1 is used in anti-acne, skin care, sun care, toiletries, decorative cosmetics/ make-up, creams, lotions and gels.
