2,2',4,4'-Tetrahydroxybenzophenone. MAXGARD® 1000 acts as an effective UV absorber. It has a very broad absorption band which extends into the UVA range. Additionally, it is effective for preventing discoloration in products caused by exposure to sunlight or fluorescent lighting. Used in sunscreen products.
