SynViscol® K17

Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP). SynViscol® K17 by Synvent Materials is a film former and a stabilizer for emulsion, dispersion and suspension. It exhibits good dispersibility & hygroscopicity and shows good biocompatibility & no irritation to skin, mucosa & eyes. It can reduce the irritation of pigments in skin care products and beauty cosmetics such as eye shadow & mascara.

• It promotes beard softening and improves lubrication in shaving creams.
• It is suitable for vanishing cream, sunscreen cream & depilatory as it enhances the moisturizing effects.
• When used in masks, it shows good affinity to the skin and helps to accelerate the penetration of its components.
• SynViscol® K17 acts as a dispersant & affinity agent in hair dyeing and as a perming agent to improve the durability of color.
• It is also used as a tackifier in toothpaste, and as an excellent surfactant & sunscreen to improve foam stability in shampoos and other hair care products.
