C15-19 Alkane (and) Disteardimonium Hectorite (and) Propylene Carbonate. HECTOGEL-AK by SUNJIN BEAUTY SCIENCE is a rheology modifier. It is composed of hectorite, dimethyl di-hydrogenated alkyl ammonium chloride and oil. It forms thixotropic gels by developing hydrogen bond bridges between the edges of adjacent platelets. It is efficiently dispersed using high-shear equipment and then activated with the optimum level of a chemical activator, such as propylene carbonate. HECTOGEL-AK is used in cosmetic applications.
