Ozokerite Wax 273P

Hydrogenated Microcrystalline Wax & Paraffin. Ozokerite Wax 273P by Strahl & Pitsch acts as a consistency agent. It is made from blends of paraffin and microcrystalline waxes and when combined, it offers broader functionality than the constituent ingredients. Ozokerite Wax 273P thickens lipid (oil) portion & helps keep emulsions from separating into their oil and liquid components. It increases viscosity and enhances gel strength in liquid and semi solid systems. Ozokerite Wax is a hard wax with a relatively high melt point. These characteristics encourage its use in stick products like lipsticks to promote structure, stick strength and lessen the brittleness. It also hold together the ingredients of a compressed cake. It is compatible with a wide variety of solvents, oils, fats, resins, petrolatum and other waxes. Used in various cosmetics and personal care applications.
