Laurel Wax SP-9001

Supplied byStrahl & Pitsch- Last Updated on May 30, 2025

Myrica Pubescens Fruit Wax. Laurel Wax SP-9001 by Strahl & Pitsch acts as an emollient and emulsifier. It is a water extracted wax obtained from the Bayberry plant. It has a low melting range with a high saponification value, and has the feel of soap when handled. It contributes to a glossy, rich, creamy feel and is considered quite stable. It brings emolliency without greasiness. It delivers creaminess with a rich skin feel to formulas - particularly to sticks. It increases o/w emulsions viscosity without additional drag. It softens the stick penetrations, increasing the pay off without changing the stability of the control formula at higher temperatures. It can be used as a beeswax substitute for vegan or animal ingredient free formulas. It is compatible with most vegetable and mineral waxes, as well as vegetable oils, mineral oils and petrolatum. Laurel Wax SP-9001 is useful in the development of natural cosmetics and personal care products. Laurel Wax SP-9001 is used in lip balms, lip stick, hair pomade creams and lotions.
