Ergothioneine (and) Aqua (and) Glycerin. AC-EGT by SOHO ANECO Chemicals is a powerful antioxidant. It offers anti-inflammatory, anti-ultraviolet radiation, and cell protection benefits. Ergothioneine is a rare natural chiral amino-acid biosynthesized in certain bacteria and fungi, and is widely distributed in mammalian cells and tissues. It is not produced in human body but can be absorbed by the body through OCTN1. This ingredient scavenges active oxides/nitrides. It possesses advantages including high safety, high stability, high bioavailability. It integrates Cu2+, Hg2+, Co2+, Fe2+, Zn2+ divalent metal ion and activates antioxidant enzymes, such as glutathione peroxidase and manganese superoxide dismutase. It inhibits superoxide dismutase (SOD), such as NADPH cytochrome C reductase and affects the oxidation of various heme proteins, such as heme and myoglobin. Also, resists UV rays and maintains cell physiological activity. AC-EGT is used in cosmetics & personal care products, night & eye cream, sunscreen, essence and facial mask applications. The shelf life of this ingredient is 12 months.
