Silwax® DMC-IS

Dimethicone PEG-7 Isostearate. Silwax® DMC-IS by Siltech is a good emulsifier in creams and lotions. It is a 100% active fatty silicone compound. It is a self emulsifying grade in water and dispersible in many solvents. Silwax® DMC-IS is highly lubricious when applied to hair or skin. It is easy to use in aqueous systems but remains substantive enough to provide excellent conditioning properties without the build-up associated with many 2 in 1 formulas. It is especially effective on treated hair that requires special care. It is compatible with other surfactants and does not adversely affect foam or detergency in shampoo formulas. It has a shelf life of 36 months when stored between 10 and 40°C in the original unopened containers.
