Cetyl/Hexacosyl Dimethicone. Silwax® D221M by Siltech is a lubricant and softener. It is a multi-domain poly-alkylated silicone. It provides a glossy feel on the skin and softness. It possesses the feel and cushion of petrolatum but with minimal playtime. It rapidly disappears to leave a high gloss and no-tack. Silwax® D221M is used in sun care products to increase SPF, lipsticks, moisturizers, lotions, antiperspirants & deodorants and pigmented products. The shelf life of this ingredient is 36 months.
