Cyclopentasiloxane (and) Dimethicone. KF-9011 by Shin-Etsu is a silicone blend. It is a mixture of 10% highly polymerized dimethicone and 90% cyclopentasiloxane. When incorporated into personal care formulations, it forms a substantive, non-occlusive, hydrophobic film that improves the feel of the product, could enhance the substantivity of actives, and provide long lasting benefits.
