GELTRAP™

GELTRAP™ by Seppic is a gel-in-oil emulsion with high water content above 80%. Its gel phase is formulated using a ready-to-use thickening polymer such as SEPIPLUS™ 400 or SEPINOV™ EMT 10 and the emulsion itself is stabilized by a liquid emulsifier known as EASYNOV™. It is an environmentally friendly technology. It allows formulation with a 4-in-1 concept. During spreading, the skin feel is contrasted between freshness and a “cushion” effect. It is formulated cold, with low or high shear. Due to the continuous oily phase, GELTRAP™ gives to formulate “water resistant” products. Therefore this technology is adapted for long-lasting applications and for humid climates.

• It achieves the same level of emollience and comfort (measurement of TEWL completed with sensorial analysis) as a classical W/O or O/W emulsion but with twice less oil content.
