Sodium Starch Octenylsuccinate (and) Acrylates/C12-22 Alkyl Methacrylate Copolymer (and) Hydrated Silica (and) Lauryl Laurate (and) Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Extract (and) Sodium Hydroxide. MultiSal™ Skin Mattefyer by Salvona Technologies acts as a skin mattifying agent. It reduces the excess sebum and oily waste materials secreted by the sebaceous glands and thus leave a matte finish on the skin. The microsphere consists of an outer shell which contains the sub-micron oil-absorbing agents that make up the core. The microsphere breaks down onto the skin when rubbed in and mechanically absorbs excess oil. The release of the sub-micron spheres, which can absorb many times their weight in oil, is mediated by the breakage of the microsphere shell as oils are absorbed. This creates a “release-on-demand”, extending the benefits over a longer time period. The technology therefore helps absorb more sebum throughout the day. MultiSal™ Skin Mattefyer can be incorporated in both anhydrous powder cosmetic formulations and emulsion-based formulas to create aesthetically pleasing lotions and creams. Used in leave-on products including anti-aging lotion, acne spot treatment, facial powders.
