Phenoxyethanol. Saliethanol by Salicylates and Chemicals is a preservative used in cosmetic products mainly to limit bacterial growth. It is also used as a solvent in fragrance and stabilizer in perfumes & soaps.

• It is most active against gram negative bacteria and enhances product's shelf life and safety.
• It is fully effective in anionic, cationic & nonionic systems and stable to hydrolysis, temperature & pH.
• It is recommended for moisturizer, eye shadow, foundation, sunscreen, conditioner, mascara, eye liner, facial sheet masks, shampoo, lip gloss, concealer, body wash, hand cream, blush, hair color, hair spray, lotion, nail polish, baby wipes, baby lotions and soaps (liquid and bar), shaving cream, toothpaste, hair removal waxes, hand sanitizer and ultrasound gel.
