Cetearyl alcohol. TA-1618 by Procter & Gamble Chemicals is a preservative- & additive-free emollient. It is comprised of cetyl (C16) and stearyl (C18) alcohol. It is derived from naturally occurring vegetable oils. It is free of gluten/wheat, corn, dairy, egg, fish/shellfish, sulfites, yeast, starch, MSG, peanut, other-nut, rice and potential allergens. Its suitable solvents include acetone, ethanol, ethyl ether, isopropyl alcohol and tricholorethylene. It finds applications in cosmetic products.
