CitroButter™ S by P2 Science is an all-natural, rich & versatile, high performance butter for cosmetics and personal care. It is an innovative & sustainable ingredient derived from upgraded forestry by products from Forest Stewardship Council certified pine trees and manufactured on P2’s proprietary green chemistry platform. It offers a barrier to retain moisture and protects hair against heat, humidity and frizz for a healthier feel and look. It provides breakage resistance, reduced tackiness and hydrating gloss & shine to hair, making it easier to comb and rub in. It prevents dryness and offers hydration & moisturization to the skin. CitroButter™ S imparts great spreadability and a soft, light, silky, velvety and non-greasy after feel. It is easily incorporated into formulations and exhibits film forming & viscosity enhancement properties. It has a similar sensory profile to a benchmark butter with less oily and waxy afterfeel at 20 minutes. Recommended for skin care and hair care applications. It is free from VOC, preservatives, phthalates, parabens, sulfates, residual solvents, dermal allergens, colorants and UV filters. It is biorenewable, biocompatible and inherently biodegradable according to the OECD 301B biodegradability test.
