Hydroxyethyl Ethylcellulose. ELFACOS CD 481 by Nouryon is a rheology modifier in aqueous systems and conditioning promoter for cationic surfactants in hair care formulations. It provides pseudoplastic rheology with pronounced yield points for stabilization of opacifiers and pearlescing agents, and superior shear thinning behavior during wash and rinse off. It can stabilize the foam and leaves the hair and skin with a silky feeling. It is recommended for creams and lotions. It also used as a protective colloid and efficiently stabilizes oil in water systems. ELFACOS CD 481 is used in emulsions and liquid products lotions.
