Micromica MK-200K

Supplied byNagase- Last Updated on Aug 5, 2021

Micromica MK-200K by Nagase is a next-generation extender pigment. It is manufactured by reusing by-products generated during fertilizer production. As a result, it’s environmentally friendly. It is an extender pigment with scale-like particles approximately 7-8 µm in size. It can be used as a substitute for natural sericite (INCI: Mica), which is an essential base material for pressed powder and eye shadow products. Compared to natural sericite, Micromica MK-200K is more intensely white with a higher level of transparency. It makes accurate recreation of pigment and dye colors possible. Another unique feature of Micromica is that it has a lower concentration of heavy metals than natural sericite. As the regulations for heavy metal concentrations in cosmetics become increasingly severe, this next-generation extender pigment is truly a one of a kind product for the industry.
