Silsoft™ 1540 fluid

Cyclopentasiloxane (and) PEG/PPG-20/15 Dimethicone. Silsoft™ 1540 fluid by Momentive Performance Materials acts as a water-in-oil emulsifier. It is a 40% solution of a polyether silicone copolymer dispersed in cyclopentasiloxane. The specific weight ratio of polyether to silicone creates a hydrophilic (polyether portion)/hydrophobic (silicone portion) structure, enabling it to highly stabilize water-in-oil emulsions.

• It contains a significantly higher concentration of polyether silicone copolymer than standard products of this type.
• It offers soft silky after-feel and enhanced water repellency and durability.
• It provides good pigment dispersion and long-lasting effects.
• Silsoft™ 1540 fluid is suitable for formulating antiperspirants, color cosmetics such as foundations and lip products, and skin care products such as body lotions, creams and butters.
• It is also used in sun care products such as sunscreen creams and lotions, and hair care applications such as conditioners (leave-on and rinse-off), shampoos and styling products.
• It is recommended for cold emulsification processing.
