C9-12 Alkane. Harmonie™ Soft fluid by Momentive Performance Materials is a naturally derived, volatile, readily biodegradable emollient, solvent and carrier for lipophilic ingredients. It is an excellent alternative to cyclopentasiloxane (D5) and has broad applicability across a wide range of personal care applications. It spreads easily, improving overall sensory with a light skin feel whilst reducing greasiness and tack.
- It offers a light touch to sun care whilst reducing whitening from commonly used UV filters.
- It is light enough for leave-in haircare formulations, boosts shine and manageability when used in hair oils.
- It is suitable for color cosmetics and provides soft and non-tacky skin feel.
- Harmonie™ Soft fluid is used in BB and CC creams body lotions, creams & butters, sunscreen creams & lotions, conditioners (leave on), concealers, cleansing oils, sunscreen oils & sprays, conditioners (rinse off), eye shadows and daily wear SPF.
- It is also used in hair serums and oils, foundations, day & night creams, lip products, facial masks, primers, facial serums & oils and facial cleansers.
