Polytrap® 6500

Dimethicone (and) Petrolatum (and) lauryl methacrylate/glycol dimethacrylate crosspolymer. Polytrap® 6500 by Minerals Technologies acts as a delivery system. It aids incorporation of dimethicone and petrolatum into a broad range of products including gels and powders. It entraps liquid actives and converts them to powders. After application, the polymer particles adsorbs excess skin oils, thus providing extended use benefits such as extended color in lipsticks and facial make-ups, matt effect and shine reduction in facial cleansers, moisturizers and treatment products. It provides excellent skin feel on application while extending moisturization and skin protectant qualities on the skin. Moreover, it provides long lasting luxurious feel and provides sebum control. Polytrap® 6500 finds application in formulating lotions, gels, o/w & w/o emulsions and both loose & pressed powders. It is used in anti-aging, anti-acne and oil control treatment formulas. It is recommended for deodorants, body lotions, sunscreens, body powders and baby care products.
