Ferulic Acid. MacDerma™ FA by McKinley Resources acts as an antioxidant and photoprotective agent. It also acts as a synergistic with other antioxidants especially vitamin C and E. It is derived from seeds and leaves of plants such as oats, wheat, rice, coffee, apples, peanuts, artichoke, pineapple and oranges. It can destroy several free radicals such as superoxide, hydroxyl radical and nitric oxide. It prevents damage to our cells caused by ultraviolet light. MacDerma™ FA is used in cosmetics, sunscreens, anti-aging cream and as fragrances base.
