Glycerin (and) Aqua (and) Epilobium Angustifolium Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract. DEFENSCALP™ PF by Lucas Meyer Cosmetics (IFF) is a preservative-free, ecofriendly, scalp microbiota-friendly ingredient. It is rosebay extract, highly bioactive polyphenol titrated in oenothein B. It improves the appearance of hair and scalp hyperseborrhea normalization. It recovers homeostasis state without irritating effect. The inhibition of 5-a reductase normalizes excess sebum production. The decrease in TLR2, hBD2, hBD3 and IL-8 attests the downregulation of the immuno-inflammatory defense system. It rebalances scalp ecosystem homeostasis and reduces sebum and the appearance of flakes after the first use only. This smart multifunctional ingredient is designed to naturally regulate the malassezia species proliferation while preserving the scalp microbiota to maintain a healthy flake free non-oily looking scalp and hair. The stimulation of involucrin synthesis, an essential marker of late keratinocyte differentiation, ensures the formation of a proper stratum corneum. This ingredient has sebo regulating and anti-dandruff effect. DEFENSCALP™ PF is used in oily scalp & hair, anti-dandruff, anti-irritant hair care, sensitive & healthy scalp formulations.
