Merquat™ PLUS 3331 polymer

Polyquaternium-39. Merquat™ PLUS 3331 polymer by Lubrizol is a conditioning agent and sensory modifier. It is an ampholytic terpolymer of acrylic acid, diallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride and acrylamide. In hair care products, it contributes luster and soft, silky feel. It provides excellent slip, lubricity and snag-free wet combability without excessive buildup. It adds sheen to dry hair and helps hold curls without flaking. It is compatible with anionic and amphoteric surfactants. It imparts excellent dry combability. In skin care products, it provides excellent moisturization & imparts a smooth, velvety feel, reduces tightness after drying skin. It reduces irritation from liquid skin cleansing products. Liquid cleansing products acquire richer, thicker foam with improved stability. It is preserved with methyl and propyl paraben. Merquat™ PLUS 3331 polymer is used in formulating body lotions/creams/gels, body wash, facial, intimate & mild cleansers, hand sanitizer, shampoos, hand soaps, shaving & styling products.
