Merquat™ 2001 polymer

Polyquaternium-47. Merquat™ 2001 polymer by Lubrizol is an anti-static agent. It is an aqueous solution of an amphoteric terpolymer consisting of acrylic acid, methacrylamidopropyl trimethyl ammonium chloride and methyl acrylate. It is compatible with most anionic and amphoteric surfactants. It improves color protection properties. In hair care products, it offers conditioning, detangling, wet & dry combing along with luster and a soft, silky feel to hair. It provides excellent slip without excessive build-up. In skin care products, it imparts a smooth, velvety feel, reduces tightness after drying skin. It provides excellent moisturization and lubricity. Liquid cleansing products acquire richer, thicker foam with improved stability. It contains sodium benzoate as a preservative. Merquat™ 2001 polymer is used in formulating facial cleansers, hand soaps, mild cleansers, shampoos, hair coloring & styling products. It is Halal certified and China compliant-formerly CFDA.
