Carbomer. Carbopol® Silk 100 polymer by Lubrizol is a non-GMO, cross-linked polyacrylic acid polymer technology which delivers cost efficient salt synergistic rheology that provides powerful suspension even at low surfactant levels. It allows for reduction in surfactant levels and conditioning agents as well as the incorporation of non-silicone based conditioning ingredients, in particular natural oils. At low concentrations it provides excellent flow properties and exhibits synergistic behavior with salt. It offers efficient thickening effect and suspension capability in synergy with salt in surfactant systems and enables optimized conditioning performance due to low impact of polymer on silicone deposition. Its combination with Merquat 2003PR and Merquat 2001 polymers allows significant improvement in wet combing, very good overall wet and dry sensory performance and enhanced consumer experience with rich creamy shampoo consistency and creamy dense foam. Carbopol® Silk 100 polymer is used in formulating 2-in-1 shampoos.
