Carbopol® 941 polymer

Supplied byLubrizol- Last Updated on Aug 15, 2020

Carbomer. Carbopol® 941 polymer by Lubrizol acts as a rheology modifier and suspending agent. It is a crosslinked polyacrylic acid polymer. It is designed to suspend, stabilize and enhance the appearance of low viscosity personal care products. It provides excellent emulsion and suspension stability at low viscosities. It offers excellent clarity, long flow characteristics, low relative viscosity, high yield value, medium ion tolerance and low shear tolerance. Moreover, it shows excellent freeze-thaw and high temperature stability at low concentrations in oil-in-water emulsions. Carbopol® 941 polymer is used in anti-aging formulas, body lotions/creams/gels, color cosmetics, hair removal, insect repellent and wipes. Also used in eye-, hand-, foot-, sun- and facial care products.
