Supplied byLubrizol- Last Updated on Nov 13, 2025

Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer. Carbopol® 1342 polymer by Lubrizol acts as a thickener, rheology modifier and suspending agent. It is an alkyl acrylate crosspolymer that flows freely as a powder.
  • It provides pseudoplastic rheology which is useful in formulating pourable products that contain suspended, incompatible ingredients or for providing stable emulsions.
  • It is uniquely suitable for aqueous solutions or dispersions containing low levels of dissolved salts.
  • It shows high compatibility with anionic surfactants imparting thickening and yield value.
  • It offers excellent clarity in hydroalcoholic gels and rich creamy feel in formulated products.
  • Moreover, it provides resistance to dissolved electrolytes making it suitable for low surfactant formulations (<10% active).
  • Carbopol® 1342 polymer is used in antiperspirant/deodorant, body lotions/creams/gels, body washes, conditioners, facial cleansers, hair colors and hand sanitizers.
  • Also, used in hand soaps, intimate cleansers, mild cleansers, shampoos, styling products, sun care formulas and wipes.
