Oligopeptide-4. Pureoxin™ by LipoTrue acts as an anti-aging active. It is a plant-based synthetic human thioredoxin-1 (plant-TRX1) obtained from N. benthamiana by transient expression in a non-GMO system. It protects the skin from photoaging inflammaging, since it showed to help to decrease UV-induced levels of ROS and MMP in vitro. It also decreases melanin content, hence it could be used in cosmetic products that look for a brightening effect and/ or attenuating dark spots. Pureoxin™ is used in skin care applications.
