Hydroxypropyl Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride. Esaflor® HC 56 by Lamberti acts as a conditioner, detangler, viscosity modifier, thickener, foam booster and foam stabilizer. It is a hydroxypropylated cationic bio-based polymer obtained by quaternization of guar gum, designed for cosmetics and personal care applications.
  • It is compatible with most anionic and amphoteric surfactants.
  • It provides a conditioning effect on hair and skin and reducing the negative effects of soaps and surfactants.
  • It is characterized by moderate aqueous viscosity and optimal compatibility with surfactant systems.
  • It offers light conditioning properties and it is ideal for volumizing.
  • At the same time it improves hair brightness and can increase mildness towards skin.
  • It is not sensitive to electrolytes and it does not affect the appearance and rheology of the surfactant system.
  • In haircare: it is used in 2-in-1 shampoos and conditioners, providing excellent detangling properties and enhancing hair feel.
  • In shaving gels and foams, it improves foam stability and enhances the lubrication of creams.
  • In cream rinses, Esaflor® HC 56 delivers a silky afterfeel.
  • In liquid soaps and body washes, it imparts a soft, luxurious afterfeel to the skin.
  • It is used in skin cleansing formulations, such as shower gels.
  • It is suitable for hazy or opaque formulations.
  • It is available globally.
