Butyl Avocadate. 5 a Avocuta® acts as an antioxidant, sebum regulator and soothing active. It is derived from avocado pears. 5 a Avocuta® is obtained using a process for transesterification of the triglycerides of avocado oil into butylic esters. The esters obtained are then purified, mainly by molecular distillation. Lastly, an antioxidant is added (propyl gallate, 0.02%) to ensure optimal stability. It combats the excessive sebum secretion characteristic of greasy skin and hair and its applications include sebum regulating treatment products for skin and hair, like in creams and shampoos.
