Behenyl Behenate. Kester Wax K-72 #131 by Koster Keunen acts as a naturally derived, high purity, GMO-free, mono-ester wax. It can be used as a natural structuring and gelling agent. Offers film forming properties, good thermal stability and a very narrow thermal phase change. Shows a wide compatibility in different solvents. In combination with Kester Wax K-60P it can be used as a vegan replacement for beeswax. In addition, granulated Kester Wax K-72 #131 can be used as a natural replacement for polyethylene exfoliating beads. It is especially used in color cosmetics. Complies with Kosher, NPA, Canada, China and Australia. It has a minimum shelf life of 2 years.
