It is a plant based, low molecular weight, monoester compatible with most cosmetic ingredients. It is used in anhydrous systems like mineral oil & wax and is free of genetically modified organisms (GMO). It can replace many ester oils in cosmetic formulas. Provides smooth, dry, powdery and non-greasy feel. It helps to increase the stability of cosmetic formulations due to low melting point. It is used as various oils and fluids in products without producing the occlusive skin feel that is typical with some oils. Kester Wax K-24 #358 finds application in formulating pressed powder, lipsticks, lip balms, eye shadows, pencils, hot pour make-ups, sun tan gels, antiperspirants and hair care products. It is certified by REACH, NPA and KOSHER. It has a minimum shelf life of 2 years.
