Zea Mays (Corn) Oil and Xanthophyll. It is an anti-oxidant active, a bio based from marigold extract. Lutein (loo’teen) is naturally deposited as a protective layer in the macula, a small spot in the back of the eye responsible for central vision. This layer is known as macular pigment, works like internal sunglasses inside the eyes protecting them from damaging light. When applied topically and daily, it demonstrates an increase in skin hydration, lipid content and elasticity, while decreasing skin lipid peroxidation and enhancing photoprotective activity. It is applicable in skin care products.
