ALOE VERA GEL

Supplied byKelisema- Last Updated on Nov 14, 2013

Aloe barbadensis leaf juice. Acts as a conditioning active. It is the mucilage contained in the parenchymatous tissue of the inner part of aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaves, obtained by cold pressing and lyophilized. One part of dessiccated matter corresponds to 200 parts of natural juice (Drug/extract ratio 200:1). It is mainly composed of polysaccharides containing glucose and mannose. Minor components having important biological activity are phytosterols, vitamins, enzymes, phosphorylated monosaccharides, aminoacids and minerals. The cold pressing and freeze-drying proceedings preserve the activity of the original enzymatic components. Used in face and body emulsions, sun products, shaving products, and hair products. Available in powder form as well.
