Lanolin. Lanis HYD by ImperialOel acts as an emulsifier and emollient. It is a white, slightly pasty solid with minimal odor, characterized by remarkably low acid and saponification values. During hydrogenation process, lanolin is heated with a catalyst to a high temperature at high pressure, absorbing the hydrogen within half an hour. Lanis HYD is used in cosmetic applications.
