DEPIL ENZYME

Supplied byI.R.A. Istituto Ricerche Applicate- Last Updated on Feb 28, 2014

Propylene Glycol, Water, Subtilisin. Acts as an excellent inhibitor of hair growth. It is produced by solubilization of the enzyme alkaline protease in propylene glycol. The alkaline protease is of biotechnological origin, deriving from non-pathogenic microorganisms. It acts on keratin, the main protein component of the hair, which is hydrolyzed to small peptides, thus making possible to decrease the net synthesis of the protein and, as a consequence, limiting the hair growth. Used in after-depilation products.
