Aquatrix™ II cosmetic hydrogels

Soothing ingredient that rapidly hydrate skin. Imparts a cooling effect on the skin once applied. Has a very high substantivity to the skin and provides a thin protection layer on skin, to protect moisture loss. Has affinity for hair, plus a strong conditioning effect. Leaves a persistent, silky, non-greasy feeling on the skin. Imparts soothing and enhances healing of dry and damaged skin. Can be made with varying levels of tack, gel strength or mobility. Manufactured as two separate, water-based solutions, one containing PVP and one containing Chitosan or Polyethyleneimine. The solutions are mixed together and the gel forms over a period of time ranging from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on formulation. Can accept a wide range of active ingredients soluble in water, glycerol, or glycol.
