SolaStay® P1

Polyester-25. SolaStay® P1 by Hallstar is a sunscreen active photostabilizer and substantivity aid. It is bis-methoxycrylene/octyl dodecyl adipic acid/methyl propanediol copolymer. It is a highly effective singlet state quencher, permitting formulators to combine active ingredients once considered too photo-unstable to be effective. It photostabilizes avobenzone extremely well. It protects against loss of absorbance much faster than octocrylene. It may enhance the water-resistance of products in which it is incorporated. SolaStay® P1 is most effective in combination with other photostabilizers. It is suitable for beaches and daily wears products in spray, lotion, cream, balm and gel forms.
