Polymethylsilsesquioxane. BT-9276 by Guangzhou Batai Chemical is a silicone active with average particle size of 7 µm. It is a micro-fine spherical cross-linked siloxane particle which has slightly broader particle size distribution. It provides dry smoothness and a powdery-light non-greasy skin feel. It reduces tackiness of formulations and also acts as an auxiliary pigment dispersion. Its performance result in excellent lubricity of skin lotions and lipsticks, reduction of powder agglomeration in pressed powders and good spreadability in skin creams. BT-9276 soft focus effects results in reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles through the use of facial lotions, anti-aging and decorative color cosmetics.
