Carbomer. Carbomer by Green Angel acts as a thickening agent. It helps to distribute & suspend insoluble solids into liquid and prevents oil and liquid parts of a solution from separating. It absorbs & retains water and can swell up to 1000 times. It forms colloidal, mucilage-like consistency when mixed in water. Carbomer finds application in formulating styling gels, facial moisturizers, sunscreen, shampoos, anti-aging treatment formulas, eye creams, cleansers, scrubs and gel-like formulations.
