Gransoft Intense PCA

Dimethicone (and) PCA Dimethicone Crosspolymer (and) Water (And) Butylene Glycol (and) Polysorbate 20. Gransoft Intense PCA by Grant Industries is a 90% oil phase micro-dispersion of 60,000cSt dimethicone and PCA dimethicone. An isomer of the natural moisturizing factor PCA covalently bonded to a silicone backbone. The pyrrolidone carboxylic acid group reduces the interfacial tension between water and silicones; along with having a very high affinity for keratein protein. Each PCA group holds several units of moisture and forms ionic bonds with any free amino group on the hair or skin. Product is designed for easy addition into leave-on lotions, rinse-off conditioners and cleansers; cold process compatible for energy/cost savings. It is designed to be formulated directly with aqueous phase. It is easily formulated in water systems at 60C or below. It is added to all existing emulsions types for improved skin feel. Gransoft Intense PCA is used in skincare, color cosmetic, sun care and hair care formulations. Its product provides enhanced slip, volume and conditioning as well as being easier to formulate at lower temperatures. To maximize aesthetic properties, formula pH range should be from 4.5-7.
