Titanium Dioxide, Polymethylsilsesquioxane/Trimethylsiloxysilicate. Gelest Titanium Dioxide SD as a surface treated powder. Gelest Titanium Dioxide SD is coated with a hydroxyl terminated silsesquioxane network that improves adhesion to skin and hair. Because it is hydrophobic, yet are not overly sensitive to oils, including sebum hence particularly suited for use in eye makeup formulation. Exhibits water repellency, low oil absorption and hence improves skin adhesion and wear. It forms high solids dispersions. Recommended for long wearing eye area products. Other applications include mascaras, eyeliners and pressed powder eyeshadows. This product is discontinued and is replaced by Gelest Titanium Dioxide SR.
