Mica (CI 77019) (and) Stearyl Triethoxysilane. Gelest Seribrite™ SS by Gelest is a surface-treated powder. It is high whiteness sericite that provides slip and creaminess not achievable with other treated and untreated sericites. It offers a lubricious skin feel, aesthetics and water repellency. The stearyl silane imparts excellent wetting properties of the shorter chain silanes with a more emollient skin feel in powders and dispersed systems. It improves spreadability, skin adhesion and a cushiony feel. It is a cost-effective alternative to boron nitride and high lightness value grade. It also offers soft & silky feel and reduced tack & greasiness. It also provides enhanced compressibility in pressed powder. It is used in creams & lotions, sunscreens, loose & pressed powders, powder cream products, mineral makeup, lipsticks, cream to powder/hot pours, water-in-oil foundations and water-in-silicone foundations. Gelest Seribrite™ SS has a shelf life of 5 years.
