Red Iron Oxide (CI 77491) (and) Trimethylsiloxysilicate. Gelest Red Iron Oxide SR by Gelest is a super resistant treated pigment. It is coated with a hydroxyl-terminated silsesquioxane network that improves adhesion to skin and hair. It improves wear, skin adhesion and compressibility. It shows water repellency, low oil absorption and forms high solids dispersions. It is hydrophobic in nature yet not overly sensitive to oils including sebum. It finds application in the foundation and lip products. Recommended for long-wearing eye area formulations like mascara, eyeliner & pressed powder eye shadow. Gelest Red Iron Oxide SR has a shelf life of 5 years.
