Polysilicone-15. PARSOL® SLX by DSM-Firmenich is a UV-B absorber. It is the first polymeric UV-B filter consisting of chromophores attached to a silicone backbone and is an effective photostabilizer for PARSOL® 1789. It is a colorless-to-pale yellow viscous liquid which integrates easily with the oil phase of sunscreen formulation.
- It provides prevention of color fading, gloss enhancement and conditioning.
- It brings silkiness to formulation and ensures excellent skin compatibility building a uniform film for optimal sun protection.
- When combined with PARSOL® HS, it can achieve a very high SPF (>30), enabling daycare or sunscreen formulations that leave a dry, silky touch on the skin.
- PARSOL® SLX is suitable for rinse-off and leave-on hair products.
