Silica Caprylyl Silylate. AEROSIL® R 805 by Evonik is a hydrophobizing, suspending, dispersing, thickening and gelling agent. It is a fumed silica after-treated with OCTMO. It prevents the agglomeration of active ingredients—generally aluminum and zirconium salts (AP salts)-helping to ensure that they are evenly distributed and have an intense and long-lasting effect. It can also increase the viscosity of deodorant roll-ons/ sticks and transparency of deodorants. It also avoids white residue. AEROSIL® R 805 is suggested for use in antiperspirants & deodorants (creams & spray).
